This keeps the kingdoms' trading arrangement squarely in place. The new couple quickly sire two boys. Conelly continues his long patrol of the Viking Bank with 23 ships, after more than 20 years on the Ocean, the old admiral is found dead in his sleep. Douglas takes on a newly built ten light warships, and sails south, mapping the Sea of Portugal successfully. Bjorne of Orkney defends his islands, then retires to let his son run the region.

Royal Roads continue to slither north, this time reaching the border of Northumbria. Engineers wall the city of York, building further field fortifications in Sussex and Gwynned. Intelligence capabilities are increased at the capital. Six cogs are pressed internally into merchant service, with the Bay of Biscay rutter inked and sent to the Duchy of Saxony. King Reginald nominates his nephew, Edward, as his Heir and the court is accepting. He also appoints his other nephew, John, to a position. The latter still remains in the prisons of Welsh rebels, despite an attempt to rescue the lad. Marc Beaufort arranges ransom for William Tudor, returning the grateful general to London. Marc then escorts Princess Johanna to marry King Duncan of Scotland. Finally, he arranges a Tributary alliance with Northumbria after a second wedding is held with Maud. Edward of Murcia reacts from his region.

(County of Flanders vs. Duchy of Lorraine)
As his first act before the Diet, Emperor Stephen I moves to broker a peace treaty between Flanders and Lorraine. He spends many months in prayer with the Shroud of Turin, asking for the Holy Spirit to fill both Count Derrick and Duke Gaston with mercy. While both sides continue to add to their forces, neither nation makes a military move. Gaston does attempt to mobilize the nobility for Casus Belli, but the court is not interested in fighting. Gaston then releases the Burgundian Prisoner, Yves, that has been held captive for many years. For his part, Count Derrick offers appeasement to Lorraine for their incursions into Champagne. Thus, it is a surprise when the Swabians descend upon Ghent with their fleet and pirate the lucrative trading city.

Count Derrick is unsuccessful in upgrading his cavalry to better troops, then is unable to get a church off the ground in Ghent. He does manage to father a new daughter, then order the conscription of 700 Infantry (Who report a rise in Quality during the cycle), 500 Engineers and two field forts in Flanders. Prince Phillip and Lieutenant Griel lead the 5500 mercenary cavalry on patrol in Brabant, but no land incursions materialize before their contract ends.

Sickness sweeps through the armies in Champagne, taking the lives of Lionel and Guy of Hesse. Ames of Champagne takes up the defensive forces, ordering Jenelle City to be walled. Duke Gaston returns to Heppenheim, picking up a new 900 cavalry. As he defends the capital, his wife dies during a difficult pregnancy. Lieutenant Joachim is loaned to the Popular Crusade, putting Lorraine back in line with the Imperial Edict.

Five-hundred Infantry are conscripted, along with a pair of field forts erected in Ponthieu. Henri leads his army against Nivernais, commanding 500 Infantry, 3200 Cavalry and 300 Engineers. The local 900 Infantry are no match and quickly cut down. Victorious, the King returns to Paris in preparation for marriage, but is saddened to learn of his bride-to-be's death en route from London. He condoles himself with the marriage of his Sister to Rudolf of Burgundy, cementing a Defensive Pact in tandem and the appointment of his brother, John, as a Prince. Roche Yves finalizes a friendly alliance with Orleans before perishing at the end of the cycle, the region itself becoming fully cultivated. Finally, the tithe percentage to Rome is increased.

Duke Henri Creates the Ducal Order "L'ordre du Duc de Champion" for all of his Knights, and marries two of his sisters to the captains of his Order. He marries his third sister to Karl of Swabia, the relations between both duchies improving greatly, even though the marriage lasts a short year before her death. He declares that Burgundy will open its borders as a secular state and offer sanctuary to those being prosecuted, including those of the Jewish faith. Muslims will be allowed to do business but not own land. In tandem the religious strength of the realm is further lowered, and the effectiveness of his spies are improved. Finally, he upgrades 2400 cavalry into heavier, more elite versions, educating his son Henri at the same time. Rudolf spends time with his new French wife, but the pair has yet to sire any offspring.

Four field forts are built in Aquitaine. Another two-hundred engineers and two light warships are built in Bordeaux. Duke William collects the 2000 hired mercenaries and reacts out of Toulouse with his own 5,200 men. Princess Alienor gives birth to a son, but the child is sickly and weak. Physicians do not expect the boy to survive into adulthood. Alienor then moves to the countryside of Aquitaine, where she intends to preach against the spread of the teachings of Casilda, but as she argues and testifies to Casilda's followers, it is her own faith that she truly questions. Soon, she announces her conversion and begins to spread Casilda's teachings herself. She is successful in finishing the conversion of the homeland and capital. Hugh reacts from Limousin for a year, between diplomatic efforts in the region and neighboring Auvergne. He maintains the current alliances only. Josephe of Limousin travels to Poitou to preach Catholicism, but makes no headway at all. Remy of Auvergne reacts from his region.

Missionaries turn back the progress of Casildan Christianity in Catalonia. Alfonso orders the release of the two Tunisian prisoners.He then arranges a Military Alliance and marriage with Sicily to his son, Alfonso the Younger. He and Ortez then march back into New Castille. The King is determined to die in glorious combat rather than his bed. He leads the assault of the region and forces the Muslim and Casildan residents to heed Catholicism. A minor rebellion is quickly put down at the cost of only 100 horse. Surprisingly, it is Ramiro, the Heir, who succumbs to the twilight of life as he Rules from the capital. Saure and Baldomero combine to complete a Census.

Saul travels to distant Paris, where he is wed to Phillip's daughter, Louisa. Saul also takes the time to arrange a Defensive Pact with the Kingdom before returning home.

trade in Seville. This places
it all in a neat bundle when Roger of Sicily, sailing a fleet of 80 warships,
and a 22 ship fleet from the Prince's Crusade menaces the port. The enemy
ships descend upon the city plundering and pirating everything in site.
Every single merchant ship is captured, including a few from Aquitaine and
Normandy. Abu Fallou reacts from Granada with 1000 Infantry and 1500 Cavalry.
Almost unnoticed, Geb-al-Tarik abandons its ties to the Sultan.

King Sigurd rules the realm, reacting late in the cycle with his 3,800 men. Erik sires three more sons to add to the royal family. Thorsson of Fjordane moves his allied to Norway and goes on react to protect the homeland.

Five-hundred cavalry are built for Feudal Ally from Kopparberg. King Inge then moves to negotiate with the region, gaining an Economic Alliance. He hopes to promote the Feudal Leader as a Prince (And thus keep his troops) but Inge has no one to marry the lord to. Anund travels to the island of Saarema, hoping for a Tributary Alliance. When the island is not forthcoming, Anund orders his newly built 900 infantry and three cogs to invade. Anund is killed early in the invasion, and the Swedish forces retire back to Stockholm empty-handed. Nillson moves to Estonia to try his hand at negotiations there, but again, is unsuccessful. The Estonians, when they hear about the attack upon Saarema, take Nillson hostage fearing an attack as well. Jerker reacts from Uppsala with 900 Infantry and 1900 Cavalry. Olaff defends Stockholm with 300 Infantry and 500 Engineers. Both are eager to punish the Estonians. Religious and Assassin effectiveness increases.

A new field fort sees service in Holstein, with three cogs built in Rostock. Duke Otto Reacts from Obodria with his army of 2200 Infantry, 2700 Calvary and 600 Engineers. Ordulf returns to Leipzig, making up for his long absence from court by spending as much time with his wife as his successful Administrative duties will allow. Count Wichmann is able to negotiate a Tributary alliance from Pomerania before expiring in 1133.

A very harsh winter sweeps through 1134, claiming the lives of four royals, including the Heir and Prince. Most expect the Duke to appoint his grandson as Heir after mourning period.

A postal road is completed from Bohemia to Meissen. Duke Vratislaus rules the nation, succumbing to illness and old age in the lateness of 1132. Stephen holds a simple ceremony for his father, his tomb draped in the Shroud. Stephen would later visit his father's tomb almost daily for the better part of a year. To the Imperial Diet, Stephen proposes a censure against the departed Duke Thierry II of Lorraine. His words rebuke the deceased count for his unchristian-like actions against Flanders, in particular the kidnapping and stealing of gold. Most of the Diet supports the censure. Petr Zerotin once again is rebuffed by the Kauyavians for further alliance. Karel Rozemberk, on loan to the Popular Crusade, perishes during training.

He health begins to fail him, and as his last act he vows to appoint Prince Zelig, his sister's husband, as his Heir. The court is not accepting of the arrangement, and Welf II passes in 1134 without an Heir. Zelig, though in control of most of the army, proves loyal and does not seize the throne. Instead, the noble line of Hubert comes into power.

After Laurent returns to his nation, he claims that Tuscany has been relentless in attempting to convince him to betray his nation.

Tomasz, in Danzig, immediately rebels against the underage Heir. He marches 500 infantry against the capital where loyalists Damian and Dariusz mount a defense with 2500 troops. Tomasz's forces are destroyed. Immediately, however, both men must deal with a general uprising as many regions and cities seek independence. For two years they struggle in street to street fighting in the capital itself, finally victorious, though Dariusz is killed. In the meantime, Danzig, Lublin and Poznan revolt.

The marriage is quickly blessed with two children. Mikhail and Ivan set out to the South with 3300 Infantry and 2,000 Cavalry. The spend the cycle conquering the pagan regions of Kur, Courland, and Daugava at the loss of only 100 men. Garrisons are left in each region.

Andriy is rebuffed during negotiations with Turov. Pyotr is rebuffed in Pinsk. Vasyl arranges a Feudal Alliance with Goryn, also removing the Tenuous bonds of the region. Vasili fails to make any conversions in Seversk. Yaropolk rules, teaching Dobrek the Administrative arts. In 1133 the Grand Prince seizes up while dealing with the tax rolls for distant Odessa. Physicians are unable to revive him.

Bakony downgrades their relationship to an Economic Alliance only. Luckily, Kolos comes of age, and secures his Kingship without any further issue.

Said is outnumbered and unable to break off, his fleet captured or sunk. The trade routes of the city are then vulnerable to Piracy, again, with all merchant vessels captured and looted by Sicily. Assassins do mange to sneak aboard one of the vessels and kill Commander Baldwin of the Crusade. Kaamil quietly investigates Levant.

Sabah negotiates in Asir, but only angers the Feudal Lord enough to rescind ties to that of Non-Paying Tributary. He is able to gain a new alliance of the same with Zufar.
