Class of Imperial Méxica Navy battlecruisers.

Newly in service.

Roles

The Provincial-class of IMN battlecruiser is defined to fulfil the roles of hunter-killer cruiser and cruiser-raider. It is capable of long-term long-range independent deployment or serving within a battle group. Its heavy armament and powerful main drive permit it to act as a forward strike cruiser.

Each role utilizes its capability to:

  • Strike enemy ships at long-range using the offensive capability provided by its heavy shipkiller missiles.
  • Avoid counter-attack using its manoeuvrability, acceleration and stealth profile.

The Provincial-class is deployed:

  • In a detached role:
    • To find, identify and kill its targets. It will often operate to detect and destroy enemy cruisers and scout vessels.
    • To attack and destroy enemy ships and installations, including supply and mercantile ships, bases and other facilities.
  • In a main fleet role:
    • To provide heavy reconnaissance to sweep away the screen of enemy cruisers.
    • To provide close support for the battle fleet, to prevent enemy cruisers harassing battleships.
    • To pursue and damage or slow enemy ships.
