A Méxica board game sacred to Macuilxochitl Five-Flower played since ancient times - when Teotihuacán was a major trade city. Before starting a the game, the players invoke him for luck and offer incense and food.

The game is played on a diagonal cross-shaped board with red and blue markers and five beans (or sometimes four beans) as dice.The game board is drawn on a thin square cloth with two diagonal lines and two transversing lines with a total of fifty two squares reflecting the sacred Méxica time cycle and four cardinal points as well as four players on a board with four sides reflecting the Méxica cosmos.

Four large beans perforated with holes are thrown on the board and according to the position with respect to the lines a certain number of moves are gained. The player who traverses three straight pieces wins.
