Rob Hanson has made a cool tool (with Perl and XML) to download any set of four adjoining maps, put them together, then make different sized versions of the quad. This application is GetMaps [Zipped, 2MB]. Instructions for setting it up and using GetMaps are here. Requires Win9x/NT/2K to run.
