After a year of hiding, stories arrived at the city of marauding troops in the neighboring provinces, but were confused to hear that the Turks were coming and not the Horde. The Turks were moving slowly through his regions, making sure no opposition was left in the regions to renew war without the King. The Turks eventually arrived at the gates of Paris and set about the dirty business of Siege. During the first week of Siege, Urkel, an allied leader of Sengir, King of the Turks, was caught by Turkish troops trying to lead a few loyal men from his command away from the army and into a predestined place within the Kingdom. A note was found on his person that was sent directly by Eclat promising many lands in return for not fighting. Urkel was promptly put to death by hanging outside the city, in a way that everyone could see what happened to traitors.
The next day during the siege, a mass of Turkish troops gathered at the heavily front gate. He noticed that the Turks had many siege engines and wondered were they got them. This confused the King of France until he saw the English Mercenaries opening the gate for the Turks. Eclat promptly ordered archers to shoot the Mercenaries, but the damage had been done. The Turkish troops seeing the gate open as planned, stormed into the city and badly mauled the outnumbered French troops. King Eclat was seen many times in hand to hand combat. And upon escaping to the palace, he sent messengers to the neighboring countries for help. He also noted that the siege engines were manned by troops appearing to be disguised as Turks, but obviously was not. Upon further questioning of a few prisoners, Eclat found out that the Pope had aided the Turkish army. This message was then sent to all countries that he could get a messenger to.
After many days of fighting, Eclat gathered what was left of his defending army and escaped north. Unfortunately for him, he ran into a Turkish army waiting for him in the hills. The body of King Eclat was found by French villagers surrounded by and estimated 150 Turkish dead.
