THE SULTANATE OF IEST Ahmed at Kaffiyin, Sultan of Mahidia DIPLOMACY: none Ahmed took the lest fleet of 15 heavy galleys and 191 warships and surrounded the island of Malta. The Sultan demanded the Kiffans surrender. It was hoped that traitors would stir up the population into mutiny. Not so. As the Maltese were besieged, cut off from the outside world, terrible things began to happen. In April of 1450, skull faced fire demons began to terrorize the island astride their metal horses which spat thunder, lightning and noxious smokes. Within a few days, the whole island of Malta burned in unearthly flames. Ahmed, his navy and much of the Maltese fishing ships backed off from the brimstone hail and miasma. Months later, scout ships bravely approched the rocky island. So scarred was Malta's surface that not even its ruins could be seen. The island was covered in black and gray soot. Nothing living could be seen. It was like Crete, only worse. What diabolic force could be at work here? Where will these devils appear next? The land of Barqa became (2/5) and its city Benghazi expanded to 3 Gpv. Marsala grew to 4 Gpv so that Sicily could become cultivated a little earlier. Wheat was shipped to the Fulani.

The city eventually came into the orbit of Komiand. Avernoth and D'avignon sailed through unknown waters to be fabled 'Great Snake' where the Volgars were said to have gone. A suitable bank was found for a new holy city in Kaskinapo at the confluence of the Snake and Ohio Rivers. The unconverted nadves of Kaskinapo refused permission for city construchon so Paul Avernoth and the Mission remained in their transports while D'avignon took the navy of 86 warships back home.
