THE AKA'MURRID EMIRATE OF FULANI
Mohammad II, Emir of the Fulani, The Philosopher-King of the Sahel
Diplomacy: Zerma(nt) Kano(nt)
Mohammed invested in several things but only saw his body guard and trade range improve. Gao, Zarak, Marades, Rharous, and D'Jenne were expanded and vast amounts of gold were poured into public improvements in Gao and Dogamba. At the capital, Lieutenant Cienfuegos married Princess Kierra, increasing his loyalty. Crown Prince Tren took a wife and had a son in 1568, but his wife died later the next year during her second pregnancy.
WHOMPCO was put on notice as the Emir granted permission to the Basra traders to move in. All the GRU Foreign Office agents get vodka!

Kemupta, Lord of the Sahara
Diplomacy: None
Kemuta attacked Danakil with his forty five thousand men, hoping to surprise the Krakas...
THE KRAKAS EMPIRE OF AETHIOPIA
Samuil I, Alem 'Elum, Emperor of Aethiopia
Diplomacy: Harar(A) Maureg(F) Ras Hafun(A) Asmara(F) Ilubabor(F) Bornu(+5yfc) Hafun(F)
Almost anticlimactically the Empire gain siege quality, Samuil seeming to know exactly how much time and effort, not to mention gold, to invest. Kwararafa was cultivated and several other projects continued apace. Walls were built up around Amada and the new port citadel there.
Samuil granted permission for both Basra and Sindicato to build sites, but to the latter he gave permission for the capital at Soba as well. The Hidden Dragon was granted permission to make harbor in any Krakas port, and the Haraze Horde was given permission to move in Danakil and the port of Bargal.
The Horde had other plans, but Prince Zalim was on hand to ensure there would be no misbehavior. In the Spring of 1568, the horde attempted to take the region, but their inferior skills allowed even the mediocre Zalim to defeat them easily, losing less than a thousand men.
Lieutenant Darsha sailed around the Cape of Good Hope from the Sea of Lybia all the way to Bur Sudan with more than a thousand ships - the largest fleet in the world. He passed on in the middle of 1570. Out of Europe, to the Eastern Theatre, into the beyond.
A dockyard popped into existance in Bur Sudan.
THE SULTANATE of IEST
Imad ibn Khalid, Sultan of Mahidia
Diplomacy: Akrakos(nt) Turbah(fa)
Warship techniques were gained while both branches of the Iest espionage agencies expanded. More than eight thousand heavily equipped infantry were built for Lieutenant Sami at the capital, loaded up and sailed east. Lieutenant Marwan Mousa and the Emir of Petra defended Akata and did some spot inspections of shipping approaching from the Red Sea.
Prince Abdul Aziz loaded more than six thousand men and horse at New Iest to sail north to Massburg where we was allowed to unload and defend the port from all enemies.
Sayid launched out of the Somali Sea to attempt the exploration of the Indian Counter Current. Sami and Ali bin Ahmed were concerned when he didn't arrive to join them at Maldives. Loaded with over twenty four thousand men and horse, including heavy artillery and balloon crews to act as marines, the invasion force also had 100 elite flagships and nearly two hundred light warships to protect the cargo ships. They met Lieutenant Li Gong off the shores of Maldives at the end of 1568.
After two engagements, Li Gong was wounded, his fleet destroyed. Fully one third of the Iesti marines were killed; the remainder unloaded onto the beaches of Maldives and headed for Omarra. The port city had no defenses what so ever and was taken easily. Li Gong slipped off into the night. Some Burning Sword prisoners were freed.
A dockyard popped into existance in Iest.
THE ALMORAVID EMIRATE of ANDALUSIA
Marwan al Saldin ibn Anbar, Emir as Sevilla
Diplomacy: Idjil(A) New Toledo(nt) Jaen(t) Haiti(A)
The Emir completed the great Naval Observatory in Sevilla near the new Steamship Yards. Technical assistance for Steamship capabilities was delivered by Lieutenant Hanyia to the Iesti and Basra traders. Emirate missionaries were counter-productive in Kornland regions. Emir Anbar died in 1569, leaving the throne to his son Marwan.

Diplomacy: Lancaster(AW)
Conan again traveled to Lancaster, this time with sweet words and the hand of young Douglas MacDonald. The Anglish would have nothing to do with the Scottish cur and he barely made it home alive. Conleth was not so lucky. His 400 elite heavy infantry were obliterated by six times as many crazed Lancaster men.
THE SULTANATE OF INGLAND
Dharr Ralif ibn Abdullah, Sword of Sayyidina Ali
Diplomacy: Northumbria(nt)
The Sultan was touring the Northumbrian countryside as the enemy landed on the beaches of Wessex. Other enemies joined in... [See Norman France, Medici, Thaery]
THE KINGDOM OF NORMAN FRANCE
Francoi le Faible, Regent to the Kings of the Saxons and of the Normans, Count of Blois
Diplomacy: Aragon(AW) Ashnod(nt) Jamaica(negated by Italy)
le Faible pronounced that Tiphani, named after her mother, a princess of the Roman Empire and daughter of Robert, would be Queen of all Norman France. With wine and gossip, Francois discovered that LeRoi Jones would not support the young queen should the regent pass on prior to her majority, if the opportunity arises. The Regent expanded the infrastructure, warship and gunnery quality, and saw trade extended.
Lieutenant Valmont was sent to Aragon with orders to place a garrison in the region that was merely at claimed status. Needless to say, this did not help the diplomacy as the region rose up in defiance. Most of Valmont's forces were wiped out as they escaped to Catalonia.
Lieutenant Jan O'Hara left a paltry six hundred men to garrison the Douala savages as he made his way to the port of Dogubu, leaving the remainder of his men there as he set sail for Ashnod off the Cape of Good Hope. Douala promptly revolted but could not even inflict any casualties due to the incompetence of the Doualan king.
A dockyard popped into existance in Rouen.
Operation Sea Lion - the burning of Elsut
Balcred of the Northern mercenaries received the commission to crush the Inglish and given 34 warships. Mosheh of the Mediterranean mercenaries was also tasked with similar orders, and actually arrived at Rouen before Balcred, but had to wait as Maurice de Fitz commanded.
Maurice de Fitz of Britanny, added more than 240 heavy transports to his kingdom as he was ordered to load the mercenaries at Rouen and ferry them across the Channel to Wessex. The mercenaries arrived in the middle of June 1568 with two lieutenants Marquis St. Simon and Duc de Villepin. Eric of Thaery was on hand as well, having landed eight thousand men and cannon. The mercenaries numbered more than fourteen thousand and hit the beaches of Wessex at the end of 1568. Fortunately for the Saxons, Prince Valiant had recently passed through on his way to Dyffed having just removed most of the garrison from Winchester.
Wessex defenders were able to repulse the first wave of amphibious attackers forcing Balcred to take the region later in the spring of 1569, losing a few hundred men total.
Ruling from Elsut, Prince Tireless-in-Faith commanded the bulk of the Inglish forces and sent out the call to the Sultan to return to Cornwall to defend against the marauders. Prince Valiant answered the call and cut off his diplomacy of Dyffed, which wasn't going well anyway, and rushed to Wessex. He joined the second wave of battle with only twelve hundred men, but he was quickly routed from the field, leaving the region paying tribute to the Normans.
Maurice returned to Rouen and loaded Mosheh's Med mercs and made his way back to Wessex. They unloaded at the end of the summer of 1569, but were harried by Prince Valiant and the Sultan with his Scimitar Guard. Outnumbered more than ten to one, its amazing that either leader survived the attack; they were routed.
Balcred moved into Cornwall at the end of 1569 and was set to attack the region. His new warships skirted the coast to support the attack. Maurice made his way to Elsut with his two hundred forty galleys in order to set up a blockade - they were of little use when Icabod Green sailed out of the harbor with sixteen heavy elite warships, torching several galleys to the waterline before Maurice could flee across the Channel, leaving the port of Elsut free to receive supplies for a while at least.
Using control of their homeland to their benefit, the Sultan and Prince Valiant were able to get there to support the defense, before the Mediterranean mercenaries could.
Balcred with another twelve thousand Norman nationals under the command of the Marquis St. Simon, and eight thousand Thaery for a combined thirty five thousand men attacked the paltry field fortifications Prince Tireless-in-Faith commanded. Later in the attack, Dharr Ralif and Prince Valiant attempted a flanking maneuver, while later still the Mediterranean's arrived with their heavy artillery. The Marquis set up a garrison while Balcred initiated the siege of Elsut.
With the armies setting the stage on land, Icabod Green was at sea destroying the mercenary warships and so could not assist in the defense of the city otherwise. With no walls and the Inglish defenders destroyed, the city was overrun. The Inglish made thier escape onto Icabod Green's elite warship fleet, making their east up the Channel. By the end of 1570 the city was in flames.

Marco d'Medici, Guild master of Medici
Diplomacy: Verona(ma) Ciboney(ma) Maya(ma) Heraclea(BO)

Federico di Medici sailed from Marampa in West Africa and landed on the beaches of Munster. He marched three thousand heavy infantry north into Lienster to attack the Inglish forces there. By the end of 1569, he still had not taken the region and would have to attack again in the spring. Fortunately the Inglish were busy in their homeland.
The newly set up merchant agent in Maya could not be sustained.

"The good people of Mercian have suffered for years by the violence caused by the under the rule of warlords. For the past several years we have watched these horrific events continue to be visited upon the people of Mercain with no end in sight. The Empress Catherine's heart was heavy in sadness for her people. Thus we ordered the defensive forces in New Trangau to intervene and bring Peace and Stability to Mercain."
Phillip expanded the government to help control his american holdings. Assassin ops, too. Micmac was converted to Roman Catholicism. Diplomacy: None
Sacha took the empire's mighty twenty seven thousand cavalry army and headed straight for the capital. Villem, unprepared as he was, was still able to maneuver his twenty six thousand elite warriors into defensive positions among the field fortifications surrounding the homeland. In the first wave, he was able to force a devastating retreat with only 6% losses. Boris was killed, and the Kama Ally was captured. Sacha reorganized the men and wheeled around to attack again! At this point Jaak was killed and Sacha wounded, thus ending the Baltica civil war.

THE ROMAN EMPIRE - Phormion Dynasty

Prince Stephanos took a hundred twenty heavy galleys to the new world to continue the development of Huarpe, Chucul, and Chechete, laying over in Ithaca for the winter of 1570. Crown Prince Teodor attended the funeral of his Uncle Sebastos when his body arrived on the boats returning from the New World.
Prince Thanatos retrieved the warships from Varna and joined General Paris as second in command. Lieutenant Nicco joined as third. They sailed south through the Canal to Sanaa on the Red Sea. Here they met up with Odaenathus and his six thousand men with and equal number of heavy weapons. Odaenathus traded the men away and sailed home with the fated Onetas.
Paris unloaded at Makran and took control of another eighteen thousand heavy infantry for a total of more than forty thousand men and heavy cannon in July of 1569. They joined with the Iesti General Salman and his fifteen thousand men and cavalry. General Salman reported that the city appeared to be teaming with mercenaries and he was glad to see the Romans.
The combined armies took up position and set in for a passive siege. The city immediately surrendered. It would seem that the Hidden Dragon had slipped out a year earlier, the mercenaries actually having no orders to defend the port. Several thousand gold pieces were found in an escrow account at the As Shirki al Bahri al Basra cartel offices.
A dockyard popped into existance in Constantinople.

The Emperor indicated that the SBB would have mercenaries for hire, but they didn't show up in Samarra as expected. At the end of 1570, Hammad passed away quietly with his son Hammad at his side.

The Emperor commanded that there would be less involvement with the religious affairs, successfully reducing his own effectiveness in that quarter in the process. Lieutenant Lallaman sailed resources to complete the cultivation projects in Tengah and Sarawak. Several other officers of the Empire were returned home to concentrate efforts in counter intelligence.
Prince Devagya traveled with General Ydrisi and Trak Travaj to oversee the colonization of Seistan, ensuring that there would be no uprisings. The colonization attempt failed. While the armies, numbering more than fifty thousand, were scattered around the region, but all under the command of General Ydrisi, the Khvor Shahdom invaded. (hornets buzzzz)

THE MANCHOU HORDE
Nurhaci, Han of the Manchou
Horde Diplomacy: Arrrrg
Shih Man headed east towards the vast riches of Japan. The Heilongkiang tribes allied with the Manchou, giving them non-paying tribute as well.
In September of 1569 the Manchou crossed into Nihon lands at Tumin with close to sixty five thousand mostly horse tribesmen. The region was a non-paying tributary to the Empire and had their own defenses, beyond the mountainous terrain. With no riches to be had from the region, Shih turned his attention to the port of Nencha on the Tatarsky Strait. The small town had no walls and was undefended - easy pickings. In the spring of 1570, Shih Man left the city a smoking ruin, refusing to share the loot with the warriors.
Shih Man briefly considered crossing the Strait, but saw that the ferry would take them forever to use. So they hit the undefended city of Lakema, dealing the same fate that befell Nencha before it. Once again Shih denied the tribe its share of the sack, but this time they mutinied against him. He barely survived the mob, but escaped with his life alone. Nurhaci claimed the title of Han of the Manchou.

Chickasaw, Potawatomi, and Saginaw revolted.
THE COUNTRY OF KORNLAND
Alfonso, Jarl of Kornland, Sachem of Chowan
Diplomacy: Monacan(HS)
Fordham expanded the bureaucracy and the intelligence gatherers. He was unsuccessful in Powhattan.
Rioting broke out in the homeland when the Jarl was out hunting. His family was killed by Roman Catholic servants and he was later captured. The Kornland people put up a new Jarl, one Roman Catholic Alfonso. He allowed the Iesti fleet to remain in port. Catawba revolted.
The revivals of Walter Stepborough
Walter left the island of Ciboney and traveled to Haiti where his words fell on deaf ears. He made his way to the mainland and converted the heathens.
THE POPOCELOTL HEGEMONY
Goyathlay, King of the Smoke Jaguars
Diplomacy: Opata(ea)
Goyathlay sent his men hither and thither, yet only Gaagii was successful.
THE OAXACA EMPIRE
Sorek, Lord of the Maya, Leader of the Quetzal World, Emperor of Mexico
Diplomacy: Kekchi(A)
Sorek stored the all of the surplus grain of the empire in order to load onto the White Man's ships. The Helvetica merchants delivered currency that could be put to good use in the coming years. Nahuatl and Tepuztec were irrigated, while Tajin and Chinkian were expanded. More ships were built to expand this new fishing industry.
Ixnayonthottenray was a rotten administrator. Chontal and Yucatec revolted.
THE INKA EMPIRE
Quinoa Flakes, Coca Mogul
Diplomacy: None
The Inka increased the size of their bureaucracy, the priests of the Sun as well as the Moon.
THE WAJ MAPU CHE
Lord King Biedes II, sovereign over the Four Parts of the Healing Earth
Diplomacy: Puelche(c)
Biedes II took his family on a diplomatic tour. He offered food to the Tupungato, hoping that they would be impressed with his kingdom's ability to feed all those people in the mountains. More importantly his willingness to share.
Even Ogoun's great administrating could not bridge the hundreds of miles to the distant regions as Puelche, Coquimbo, and Milcayac revolted. The upside of all that would be that the Waj Mapu Che could more easily control the kingdom now.
THE EMIRAT OF ALAGOAS
Shi'Tebra ibn Rahgeesh, Emperor of the Paraiba, Emir of Alagoas
Diplomacy: No Effect
Shi'Tebra increased the quality of his spies.
ALAGOAS SOUTH AMERICAN PORTAGE (ASAP)
