The Khemer Empire of Kambuja
Dinth Tranh the treacherous, Emperor of the Khemers, Cloak of the Buddha, Mask of Hidden Glory, Master of the Lotus Throne
Diplomacy: Preikuk(t) Cochin(ea) Hmong(AW) Mison(t) Mon(fa) Kedah(c)
Dinth Tranh sent a number of workers and materials into Dai Vet to construct a Royal Road deep into Chin territory. Large amounts of public works were NOT built in punishment for not rejoining the Empire as at least economic allies in several regions.
Xiang Zhou marched into Hmong with sweet words, but was dismayed when the talks broke off suddenly. Knowing that he had at his disposal more than 5,000 men and the Nampung allies, the Hmong decided not to press the attack and only grumbled. Soon both Nampung and Xiang Zhou left the region, and the garrison unlead. The mountain people attacked the garrison, which sustained some losses until it could retreat behind the walls of Kueilin, which was then beseiged.
Dinth named 20 year old Leiutenant Tran Cau as his heir and set him to conduct a census. Dinth gave Tran more than 20,000 men. Tran briefly and seriously thought about an overthrow of the government, but decided against it. Dinth was pretty old and as long as things went Tran's way why put His Empire through any more turmoil. Dinth appeared to be earning his keep as "Emperor" by pulling Preikuk and Cochin into the fold. Conducting the census was a good excuse for Tran to "press the flesh" with many minor houses of the empire. Needless to say, the census produced only vaguely reliable results.
Tran was aroused from his bedchamber (he had married a daughter one of the wealthier houses in 1376) on the evening of September 10th, 1378. Kueilin was under seige! He led his army to Hmong to quickly put an end to the rebelion. He lost only a couple thousand men, installed the garrison and returned to his wife.
The Khemer Empire of Burma
Dinth Shan the True, Emperor of the Khemers
Diplomacy: None
Dinth Shan ordered a significant amount of increases, Paghan, Mandalay, Bassein, Kyangin, and Chittagong, public works, army...
On the evening of July 8th, 1377 a series of murders and assassinations began in the capital city. Corruption was rife and it ran deep. General Linh and his family were found butchered as were several men of lesser rank. Some disappearances and suicides. General Aohai attempted to wrest the army from Dinth, but was arrested quickly. Minor skermishes in the encampments ensued as the trials progressed. One Corporal Awnlimapdua was the first to reveal his involvement with the Mandalam government...
With the purge Burma lost a full rating in Infrantry and Cavalry, more than 4000 men along with two leaders and all the actions they supposedly were going to carry out, the gold they were to spend.

The Chola Mandalam Empire
Remesevka I, Chola Emperor of Mandalam, the Left hand of Vishnu
Diplomacy: Dahala(ea)
All but 4 cities expanded. Surat and Tanjore even got some walls RECORDED this time. His son Abhata's wife died in 1376. Palace maids spread rumors of screams in the nights preceding her death leading some people to believe that Abhata's predelictions bend to the bizarre.
Remesevka once again contacted the Grand Master Siddhartha in an attempt to establish a military order. Once again the gods frowned on him. As he lay in his death bed pondering his second failure to absolve his consience the clouds parted and Shiva spoke saying "It ain't gonna happen". The Empire mourned the passing of one of its greatest leaders.

The Khanate of Scythia
Ali ar-Rahani, Khan of the Scythians, Lord of Afghanistan
Diplomacy: Dasht'e Lute(ea)
Ali ar-Rahani started the most complex construction the Khanate has ever attempted - the royal road crossing the Dasht'al'kavir desert, into the forbiding mountains of Tabaristan. Baulistan and Sharif were expanded and Kabul had some new market zones established. Trade was established with the White Order via Oldenberg on the Volga.
The Young Heir, grieving over the loss of his Bride, spends the years helping his father run the country, oversee it's expansion, and raise his children. The people of Scythia, especially the Tabaristan's (Bride's homeland), approve of his conduct and grieve with him. They hope he find a new love in his life when his mourning is complete. The talk around the dinner rug is filled with speculation of how good a King young Samir is promising to be. Confidence and stability run high in Scythia. A new general signed up along with more beaurocrats!
The Emirate of Turkman
Osmanli, Shah of Bukhara, Emir of Merv
Diplomacy: To the pagans
Umman built the following horde targets, er, shiny new cities: Buhara in Bactria, Namagan in Ferghana, Kuljab in Kush, Termez in Tadzik, Bajram-Ali in Transoxania, JanyKugan in Singanakh, and Candzou in Turkmen. Some of these cities were built on the Oxus and Jaxartes rivers, which connect with the fish infested Aral Sea. Finally Umman went out to conduct a census, but in his old age he thought it was some kind of game that's played with his harem, where they blindfold him and then tell him to... It was fun while it lasted, Umman died in 1380.
Missionaries in Frunze found the entire cador of Turkmen leadership assisting them. Mohamed, with his brilliant white teeth was most successful. The missionaries themselves appeared to be teaching via reverse psychology, but the pagans took it the wrong way. Maybe if the missionaries had some real OOOMPF behind their words, they'd do better.
Both Mohamed and Syed revolted, Mohamed joining the mercenaries, Syed taken by the pagans for some ritual. He must have liked it because he never returned. The Emirate itself lost Samarkand, Kophat Dagh, Kuljab (with Kush), and Uzebek with Dusanbe.
The Safavid Empire of Basra
Nuh'a-Din ibn Nur, Shah of Baghdad, Spokesman of God, Chosen of Allah, Guide of the Faithful, Most Learned of the Holy
Diplomacy: Media(H) Syria(nt)
Nur'al-Din nearly completed his father's grand road network before dieing in 1378. Zebek spent hardly any time in each of the wistle-stop diplomacy tour depots. Media was quite upset that it was treated so rashly and Syria BARELY agreed to even the meagerest of terms. Missionaries in Kuwait found no one to abuse.
The Madragian Emirate of Aleppo
Salud al-Hajj Sadadi the Fresh, Emir of Aleppo, Servant of Allah, Guardian of the Western March
Diplomacy: Sencelade(c) Dabik(H) Cyprus(c)
Abbas made a deal with the Imam, ransoming the King of Rawadid to him. He was upset, but grudgingly pulled his garrison from Palmyra, leaving it to the Safavid. Abu B'akar was the general who actually retreived the 2,000 horse, then he spent the rest of the half decade counting Emirate nationals, successfully appling a census.
Abbas died in 1379, his body entombed on the inner wall of Antioch. The Imam sent holy men to consecrate the grave, knowing that Al'lah found him worthy. Salud al-Hajj Sadadi cut his diplomatic mission in Isauria short to take become the Guardian of the Western March. His government increased two-fold.
The Holy Imam of All Islam
Imam Khemeni, the Highest Follower of Al'lah
Consecration: An-najaf(CA) Mashhad(ch) Baulistan(ch) Mansura(ch) Aqaba(MN) Georgia(c) Shirvan(c) Elburz(H) Kurdistan(H)
The Imam labored diligently to raise the Mamluke religious fervor. This aided Mullah Hazim during his appointment as the Legate to the West out of the Grand Mosque of El'Qahira. Sheik Ali Ibn Omar was partially successful, but consecrated the all important Aqaba mosque. Mullah Nid'Sanim built several churches in the eastern reaches before seeing his luck run out in Zeila. He was shot down mercilessly. This has happened to him 2 times. Aieeee
Sheik Mohamad ar'Rhani met with the former Rawadid Emir Khalid II in the dang prisons of Madragia Aleppo. There he purchased his freedom after Khalid swore allegiance to the Imamate, renounced what worldly pocesions he had left. Sheik Mohamad garanteed Khalid paradise in the afterlife. Khalid and Mohamad traveled across the mountains into the former Rawadid homeland of Psidia with a mercenary escort of more than 4,000 men and horse on a mission to locate and recruit to the Imam's service whatever remained of the Scolars of the University, Government workers, and nefarious inteligence agent. They were sucessful for the most part as 2 out of three were found intact. Khataan of Rawadid joined Khalid as well as Khalid's twin brother Sheik Kalam al-Kalam. The entire caravan arrived back in Alamut in 1380.
Ugly Sheik Mustapha had limited success in Georgia and Shirvan, but was chased west where he personally botched the conversion efforts in Urmia.
The Mamluke Sultanate of Egypt
Uzayr, Sultan of Egypt, Ruler of the Upper and Lower
Nile, Defender of the Holy Land, Master of the Seven Seas, Sword of Allah,
Invincible Overlord of the Mamluke Empire
Diplomacy: Cyrene(ea) Hijaz(a)
Osman was lounging by the pool, a needed rest from his harried administration duties of the previous five years when all of a sudden he was beset by assassins! He dispatched 2 of them, but unfortunately didn't survive the castration and bled to death before he could untie himself from the pool slide. The dead assassins were identified as fellow Egyptians from the slimier side of El'Qahira. Its rumored that this was retribution from Islamic Fundamentalists for unpaid lipservice connecting him to homosexual activities...
Having lived an extraordinary life, in 1377 Majid ibm Mohammad died at the age of 72. His 42 year old son Agan took the throne and attempted to produce an heir. He also died in 1380. Prince Uzayr sailed down the coast from Cyrene to take the throne.

Diplomacy: Lenje(AW) Zimbabwe(AW)
K'ror sent men into the forests of Malawai and Nyasa to clear them out for more fields. Mardab the Spear set off on a daring diplomatic mission into the mountains of Lenje among the gorilla people. Amazingly, he survived. Choktale wasn't so lucky as he was captured by the natives of Zimbabwe. Panamu Hawat was instructed to administer in Pebane - it would seem he was taking lessons from both Mardab and Choktale... K'ror released Banhine, Matopos and Tonga to reduce the size of the Kingdom, the former had the effect of cutting trade with the Republic.
The Republic of Venice
Emiliano Badoglio II, Doge of New Venice
Diplomacy: Xhosa(ea)
Emiliano set Kahari, Karoo, Khosia, Orange, and Sotho free. Fisulo, without walls, was overrun by the happy indepentant people of Orange. Seeing as how they're inland regions, this only makes sense. Now he begins his search for a new island homeland or his sea faring status would sail away. He took a pagan wife in Xhosia who died soon after bearing him a daughter in 1377. Makura was transferred to the Kingdom of Greater Zimbabwe, but since this was news to K'ror it simply revolted. This had the net effect of bringing the entire Republic within managable levels.

Gunther didn't really know how to administrate very well and so, combined with the fact that Katarina was up north in Lithuania, pretty much all of the Empire was outside of her command radius.
